He also earned a PhD from Stanford University’s programme in immunology and conducted postdoctoral research with a Nobel Laureate at the University of Colorado. Previously, he was managing director and founding partner of Saranac Capital, LP, where he was the health care sector portfolio manager. Mr. Lovell also worked at Salomon Brothers Asset Management as a director and later managing director of the health care team. He began his career at Bear, Stearns & Co. as an equity research analyst covering biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and life science tool companies. Mr. Lovell received his bachelor of arts degree, with a double major in chemistry and economics, from Bowdoin College and his MBA from Tulane University. He has 24 years of financial industry experience.
